I’m just as bad as Mom when it comes to blogging!

I see that I haven’t posted since Christmas. Mom and I have been very busy…. that is, if you want to call monkey business busy. I’m going to steal one of Mom’s ideas from her blog and give you a This and That catch up.

  • Mom got a good scare a couple of days ago. Dad woke Mom up at 7:30 a.m. to tell her that he was going golfing. Mom slept a little while longer and when she got up, she couldn’t find me. Mom was a mess because she tried calling Dad, but he wasn’t answering his cellphone. About a half an hour into Mom’s anxiety attack, Dad and I came home. Dad decided not to go golfing because it was raining and decided to take me for a run instead. Mom practically smothered me with all her kisses and hugs. I guess that’s OK. At least I know my mom loves me, even if she can be really annoying. Boys don’t like all that kissin’ and huggin’ stuff.

  • I got some new jammies for Christmas! Mom saw them on Bruschi and Ebby’s blog and knew that I’d love them! OK, she didn’t know that I’d love them, but she loved them and I’ve been told that this is what matters most around here. I have to admit that they keep me nice and warm. The only problem is that sometimes my back leg pops out of the pants so Mom doesn’t let me sleep in them. I think she’s forgetting that they’re jammies. Jammies are for sleeping in, not playing in during the day.

  • I also got a rubber chicken from my cousin and a new blanket from my Grandma. Excuse the messy bed. I put all my stuff in my bed so I have quick access to the things I like.

  • I also got a fancy tie to wear for New Year’s Eve. Mom had to add some elastic to the neck because my neck is so big. If she got a tie to fit my neck, it would be dragging on the ground. I really liked wearing the tie, and was sad when Mom took it off. By the way guys, ZZ Top is right, “..every girl is crazy ‘bout a sharp dressed man.”

  • I went to the puppy doctor for my annual check-up. The doctor said my teeth are beautiful with ZERO tartar. Mom would love to take credit for that, but she’s not very good about brushing my teeth every day. More like once a week (bad Mom!!) She gives me a raw bone from the butcher at least once a week, and I chew on it for days. That helps keep the tartar off my teeth.

The bad news is that the puppy doctor said that I’m pudgy! I’m so sure!! I weigh 34.6 lbs of pure muscle. The doctor said that I’m not too bad, but my waist isn’t defined like it should be. Maybe she didn’t notice that I am a boy. Boys don’t have a waist. That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it.

I got a vaccine while I was there and even gave the doctor a kiss after she gave it to me. She told Mom that I’m a sweet boy. Mom decided not to tell her the truth. ::snicker::

I think that about sums up the last two weeks or so. Not much to do around here because Mom had another operation on her foot and she’s being a big ol’ baby about it. When I had my boy parts surgery, I was ready to rock and roll the next day. Mom had her surgery three weeks ago. What a namby pamby.
