Dog massacre!

Mom is in BIIIIGGGGGG trouble with me and Dad. She promised that she’d never try to clip my nails again, but she broke her promise yesterday and it became a bloody massacre. Sure, it was my fault because I wouldn’t keep my paw still, but she had no business doing it in the first place.

She says that she feels sorry for the gals at PetSmart when they try to do it because I do NOT take kindly to getting my nails done. She even tips them twice the cost of cutting my nails (20.00). She’s been trying to get me used to people touching my paws by holding them and not letting them go until I’m done throwing a fit. I think we can safely say that all that work has flown right out the window.

There was blood everywhere, and so Mom sent Dad to the pet store to get some of that stuff that stops the bleeding. That only worked until I went outside and tried to dig a hole.

Well, at least I have one over on Mom now. She’s been giving me extra hot dogs and letting me sit on her head even when she’s trying to work. She feels really bad.

I think I might work it for a while, right after I go bury the nail clippers.

Ouch, sorry to hear about the toenail!  Theo had the same issue, until we started using the PediPaws rotary trimmer.  No more blood, and he has clean, rounded nails now… with much less angst.

Use flour to stop the bleeding.  I clipped Anna’s nail without my glasses on one time and every nail bled like a stuck pig!  My vet told me about the flour.  Just put some in a bowl and then put the paw in the bowl.  Flour on the floor is better than blood.
