Grandma sent Mom a birthday present, since it’ll be her birthday in about a week. Grandma called today and said that it was OK to open it.
It’s a skateboard! Grandma thinks that I’m so smart that I should have a skateboard and learn to skate on it. It should be noted that Grandma has more faith than Dad does that Mom won’t have a horrible accident due to a skateboard being in the house. I’m kind of glad that Mom had the big accident that broke all those bones in her face, because it made Dad feel so sad for her that he let her have a puppy. That would be me! Yay for accidents!
(I’m kidding, Mom)
Mom’s going to wait until they’re back from their trip to start training me how to use it. She told me that she’ll be posting my progress here. This should be interesting, huh?
I was featured on the Daily Squee! Mom reads the Daily Squee daily because it’s full of cute animals. I guess it should be no surprise that I was featured, being cute and all….
Mom and Dad taught me to stay away from dangerous things when I was a little puppy. The plants and the electrical cords in the house are so dangerous that I won’t touch them or go near them even if it’s standing between me and my toy.
Mom and I were playing fetch and the ball bounced right onto the leaf of one of the plants. When that happens, I don’t think it’s too much to ask for help from Mom or Dad. I won’t fall for tricks either. Even if they tell me it’s OK to get the ball, I won’t get it. That’s THEIR job as the adults in the house. I must have been crying about this for five minutes before Mom rescued the ball. Notice my other trick at the end. I can catch balls and other stuff in mid air. SUPERSTAR!
Mom is teaching me some dance routines. I’m not sure I’m crazy about the word “twirl”. I’d prefer that she call it “spin” or something a little more manly.
Everyone knows that I’m destined to be a star. Twirling is just the start.
Do you remember when I met my brother/uncle (it’s complicated!) Harley at the dog park a few months ago? Well, his mom emailed my mom to see if we’d like to have Harley come live with us.
Mom and Dad have told me that I’m destined to be an only dog, and actually I like it that way. I’m the center of Mom and Dad’s universe most of the time, just as it should be.
I hope that Harley can find a good home. He just turned two on September 26th. We share the same papa, but his mama is my grandmama. See what I mean about complicated? If you know someone who’s looking for a guy as handsome as me, email my mom and she’ll put you in touch with Harley’s mom.
Here’s a video of me and Harley (mostly Harley, who is much bigger than me!) He is really fun to play with.
