I *LOVE* this show!

Have you watched National Geographic’s Dog Town? If not, you really should if you’re an animal lover. I watch this show with Mom after Dad goes to bed. It’s our special time together.

Dad didn’t believe Mom when she told him that I really do watch this show, so she took a video to prove it.

At first, the show seems kinda sad because it’s about puppies and dogs that have been abused, neglected, or abandoned. But by the end of the show, I’m always happy because the people on the show work really hard to socialize the dogs and do whatever medical treatment is necessary. They usually show the new homes the dogs go to and how happy they are with their new family.

It makes me sad that there are dogs out there living lives that aren’t as great as mine. My grandma and grandpa taught Mom how important it is to make animals a part of your family. Mom will admit to abusing her first kitty, Sam, by dressing him in her doll clothes and bonnets and making him play baby. You can bet your last dollar that Mom would NEVER get away with that sort of thing with me!

Mom tells me that Uncle Michael has told her that when he dies, he wants to come back as a dog in this family. Can’t say that I blame him. I have a pretty good gig here.

And what exactly does she think she’s going to learn?

Mom’s been reading It’s Me or the Dog: How to Have the Perfect Pet.

He *loves* this book!

“How to have the perfect pet”, eh? I think she’s wasted her money on this book because I’m already perfect. Mom and Dad have a different idea of perfect than I do. I do have to admit that I like the way Ms. Stilwell shows people how to do tricks and keep OTHER dogs out of trouble. Mom already knew that shoving my butt down to the floor while saying “sit” wasn’t the way to do things, and she confirmed that while reading the book. Mom’s so smart!

Mom really likes Victoria Stilwell, which bodes well for me. Victoria believes in positive reinforcement training, rather than punishment. We really like watching her show together, Animal Planet’s “It’s me or the dog” because Victoria shows that ANY animal can be rehabilitated; it’s just a matter of patience. I really like watching how the bad dogs turn into good dogs by the time she’s done with them.

Of course, Mom just watches the show for entertainment value. There’s nothing about me that needs to be changed. I’m perfect, as you probably can guess.

My bumble ball

Mom and Dad got me this Crazy Dog Bumble Ball when I was really little. At first, I was really afraid of it, but now I show it who’s boss.

Mom’s learned not to leave me alone with it though, because I’ve started taking it apart. Of COURSE I started taking it apart… my name is Einstein. Gheesh, what does she expect?  I would like to mention that the instructions told her not to leave me alone with it. I sure hope she pays better attention to the instructions about not having a toaster in her bathtub.

Here are more pictures of my Bumble ball in my stash of stuff:
Guilty of having too many toys

The plant is NOT a toy, Einstein!

Man… now that I look at it, I have a lot of toys. Guilty as charged.
