Mom says that I’m getting pudgy
I went to the place where the nice ladies are to get my stitches out today. They weigh me every time I go and in 10 days I’ve gained 2.5 lbs., putting me at 23.5 lbs total. Come on now- who wouldn’t gain weight if they don’t get to exercise? I’m not going to say anything to Mom, but I think she’s put on a little weight herself. Pudgy… we’ll see who’s calling who pudgy.
When Mom asked the lady how much longer I’ll be growing, she said about three more months. I’m going to be GIGANTIC!
Mom and Dad took me to the dog park after I got my stitches out. I met a couple of new gals and we played for a bit, but the best part was when I got to go swimmin’! Dad tossed sticks in the water and I fetched them. It feels like forever since I’ve been swimmin’.
After the dog park, we went to the pet store and got some treats (and mom wonders why I’m pudgy?) and then went home and napped. Well, I napped. Mom went back to work. I swear, that’s all she does. Oh well, more work outta Mom means more treats for me, right?

I hope I didn’t worry you!
I’m feeling LOTS better since I had my surgery, but man am I bored. I’m not allowed to go outside unless it’s to go potty, and for the first few days I wasn’t even allowed to play so you can just imagine how b-o-r-i-n-g that was.
Mom has been staying home with me instead of going to the dog park. I know how much she likes it there, so I’m glad that she’s waiting until I’m able to go too. Man, I can’t wait to see my friends and go swimmin!
I go back to the place with the nice ladies on Monday to get my stitches out. Mom says that I’ve been a really good boy about leaving my stitches alone and that’s why she’s been giving me extra treats and playing lots of fun games in the house. I guess I can’t complain TOO much.
Man, I can’t wait until Monday.

What the heck?
Mom and Dad took me ‘bye bye’ today and usually that means fun, so I was all for it. We ended up at the place where all the ladies tell me how cute I am and pass me around. That was fine until one of the ladies took me away from Mom and Dad and the next thing I remember was waking up from a nap and feeling very ouchy. I don’t know whose idea this was, but they’re going to be in big trouble when I figure it out.
I should have known something was up because Mom let me do a lot of fun stuff yesterday. I got to go swimming three times and I got to play at the park with my friends between each swim. And then we walked and walked and walked. Then later that night Mom played ball with me outside in the back yard.
Mom tells me that I’ll feel better soon and she gave me some medicine that makes me feel sleepy and takes away the ouchies.
I over heard Mom tell Dad that it’s going to be a long 10 days because I’m not allowed to go outside until my stitches are out except to go potty. We’ll see about that. I plan to drive them crazy until they give in. If that doesn’t work, I’ll give them my cute little puppy dog eye look. Mom’s a big sucker for that.
At least I don’t have to wear one of those cone things that some of the other dogs were wearing. They looked really silly, and that’s not how I roll.

A new place to play
Mom wanted to get some work done today, so thought she’d take me to my hangout to play with my friends. Mom calls it “Cheers” because it’s where I go that everyone knows my name. Well, not everyone, but the regulars do.
My friend, Kiley’s mom (Kiley isn’t my friend yet), was there and a bunch of dogs I didn’t know. Most of them were big, so I decided to just chillax next to Mom. There was no way that I wanted to bring any attention to my self around those guys. Mom said that I could just chillax at home, so we left the park. Little did I know that we were going to ANOTHER dog park. Mom’s heard good things about this park and so off we went.
When we first got there, Mom took me to the ‘little’ dog area. Some of those little dogs were really rude and not fun like the dogs at my regular hangout, so we trotted over to the big dog park. Mom and I walked toward a group of people standing in a circle watching their dogs. It was a lot like what goes on at the other place, so we decided to hang out with them. There were two bulldogs, one beagle and a baby pug. I followed the beagle around for a while, but he wasn’t really interested in chasing me, so I sat next to Mom and chilled. One of the bulldogs came over and pushed his nose up under my chest and I knew what THAT meant! He wanted to play!
He chased me around for a while and then the baby pug got in on the action. We raced around in big circles around the moms and dads and then I had a GREAT idea! I took off as far as I could, way far away from Mom. She tells me that she was calling my name, but I didn’t hear her (tee hee). She decided that we’d been out long enough (almost four hours), so we headed toward the gate. That’s where I met a really cute little human girl that wanted to play with me. Normally, I only like human boys, but she seemed nice enough. She was soo nice, that I decided that Mom could just go home by herself. I wanted to follow that girl.
That was pretty much the end of the fun until we got home. Mom thought that I’d be pooped out from all the running, but it was such a nice day! I begged and whined until Mom took me outside to play in my play area. I swam in my pool and did a little digging around in the dirt. It’s two hours later and I’m still trying to blow that dirt out of my nose.

Oh, and remember that present from Grandma that I told you about? Here I am wearing it:

I think Grandma is on to something…. I DO look pretty tough, not to mention handsome.

Thanks Grandma! I can’t wait until it fits. I’ll be king of the park and EVERYONE will know that I mean business!
